General SummaryThe Human Resources (HR) Intern will partner and support the Talent Acquisition Team to meet business and organizational Talent needs, getting a glimpse into and participating in full cycle Talent Acquisition from sourcing to onboarding. The HR Intern will have a major impact on a candidates' first and ongoing impression of Kaplan and be instrumental in bringing talented employees to Kaplan.
Primary Responsibilities- Engage and participate in leadership workshops covering topics such as: Mentorship, Professional Development, and Networking opportunities
- Design and present a "Kapstone" project to the leadership team
- Interns must be available for the 10-week program from (June 5, 2023 - August 7, 2023)
- Successful internships may result in full-time employment with Kaplan upon graduation and completion of a Bachelor's degre
- Partner with Recruiting and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs and develop into job-specific talent acquisition strategies that support business objectives
- Assist recruitment team in full cycle recruiting efforts including building a candidate pipeline, sourcing, reviewing resumes, prescreening and coordinating interviews between hiring managers and candidates
- Source candidates by leveraging a wide variety of sourcing channels including recruiting platforms, job boards, social networks, schools and community resources.
- Proactively research and generate new/creative sourcing ideas.
- Assist Recruitment Coordinator in documenting, tracking and maintaining hiring and onboarding activity.
- Supports HR and/or Recruiting projects, programs, and initiatives as needed.
- Miscellaneous /other job related duties assigned
Education & Experience- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program graduating in Spring 2024 Studying: Human Resources, Management, Business
- Active student at Xavier University of Louisiana or Kaplan Educational Foundation Scholar
- Demonstrated academic achievement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and has a learning attitude, ability to manage and complete multiple tasks, determined, flexible, independent, organized

Kaplan is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All positions with Kaplan are paid at least $15 per hour or$31,200 per year for full-time positions. Compensation for specific positions are based on job level, skills, years of experience, and education, among other factors. Additionally, certain positions are bonus or commission eligible.
