Job Description:POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Demonstrate ability to perform all Human Resources Administrator responsibilities
- Establish ongoing communication with division management regarding all employee changes
- Assist with local recruiting efforts within the HCM system by carrying out business processes from posting job requisitions through hire
- Coordinate local recruiting logistics such as scheduling interviews sharing resumes with hiring managers, etc.
- Coordinate pre-employment background screening and substance abuse testing with employees; provide necessary documentation and correspondence to employees, and communicate information to hiring manager and Regional HR Manager
- Responsible for new hire orientation and overseeing completion of new hire processes
- Coordinate with applicable manager and employee for new hire onboarding and offboarding schedule/activities
- Coordinate with Business Technology to set up and deactivate equipment and systems access for new hires, employees on leave of absences, and terminated employees
- Process employee related changes through HCM system and ensure accuracy of information, required documents, process approvals; and communicate certain changes with Shared Services HR and Payroll groups as required
- Provide support and administration for employee terminations, including processing terminations within HCM system
- Answer general employee questions regarding employment policies and benefits
- Monitor vacation/sick time balances in HCM system and share information as requested
- Partner with Regional HR Manager to provide statistical information and reports to management upon request (e.g. for Operations Reviews, bids, etc.)
- Assist with preparing disciplinary action documentation as needed
- Assist with performance check-in process including reporting for division management and Regional HR Manager
- Assist with Preferred Driver/DOT Driver and Return-to-Work screening and program administration
- Assist with immigration sponsorship administration as requested
- Assist Regional HR Manager with ADA accommodation evaluation and documentation
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of work experience in human resources field (familiarity of full employee lifecycle a must)
- PHR and SHRM-CP certifications or four-year degree in Human Resources or similar major are a plus
- Working knowledge of standard business practices and procedures, including basic HR practices
- Basic knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and HR policies and procedures, with a drive to continuously educate self on new employment laws
- Experience working with all levels of employees, including upper management
- Strong computer skills within Microsoft Office apps (primarily within Excel and Teams)
- Workday HCM experience preferred
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees alike
- Ability to be perceived as a professional in employment best practices
- Strong English communication skills both written and verbal, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Ability to follow through with responsibilities while maintaining order and accuracy, in a timely fashion
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as, part of a team
- Ability to visit job sites and offices, as needed
- Problem-solving ability and proven accuracy with detailed information
- Reliability, dependability and flexibility
- Ability to work in front of a computer for long periods of time
