This position is partially remote, and it is eligible for the 9/80 flex schedule. The pay range for this position is $89,043 – $98,937 annually.

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, this position will be responsible performing a wide variety of skilled human resources duties, including but limited to employee relations, learning & development, and compliance & policy initiatives. The position will interface with employees, consultants, legal counsel, HR groups and behavioral health affiliations.
Primary Duties
Employee Relations
- Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with outside legal counsel as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Learning & Development
- Collaborates with senior management to identify training needs.
- Assists in the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of the Agency’s professional training and development programs which includes management and leadership development.
- Conduct staff trainings as needed via in-person or zoom.
- Provides direction to management on appropriate use of coaching and teambuilding techniques that promote organizational goals and support employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.
Compliance/Safety/Wellness
- Maintains working knowledge of labor and related laws, industry trends, and effective human resources practices through participation in seminars and classes, membership in professional organizations, reading and contacts in the industry; consults with legal counsel as necessary.
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
- Participates in agency’s safety and health committees.
- Ensures new hires, promotions and transfers are aligned with wage and hour laws and regulations.
- Promotes safety and health awareness through the agency’s SharePoint, newsletters and specific training programs.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, a related field desired; or HR certification with a combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of three years progressive human resources experience.
- A working knowledge of all human resource activities and associated state and federal regulations (e.g. COBRA, Wage and Hour laws, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment regulations, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, American with Disabilities Act, FMLA, CFRA, etc.).
- The ability to implement new human resource programs designed to meet organization objectives (e.g. retention, compensation, benefits, employee services, etc.).
- A working knowledge of Didi Hirsch’s policies as they relate to employment.
- Effective oral and written communications skills sufficient to write comprehensive reports and policies, and to successfully interface with all levels of management and staff.
- Basic accounting and general math skills sufficient to analyze compensation and benefits data, and prepare associated reports.
- Personal computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and HRIS.
- The analytical skills, experience and good judgment to make decisions within policies.
- A commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- Current California driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
