Job purpose
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the HR Operations Officer include, but are not limited to, the following:
- HR & personnel administration (including payroll set up & implementation in Belgium and 15 other countries, absence and holiday management);
- Compensation & benefits administration (including, among other aspects, the administration of our group insurance, hospitalization insurance, meal vouchers, and other elements);
- Compliance to local legal & labour law;
- On-boarding and offboarding of employees and contractors;
- HR processes, databases & tools (updating our different databases to ensure proper HR reporting);
- Recruitment (including preparation of job offers and employment contracts);
- Assist in different HR global initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, performance evaluation, internal levelling, salary bands, etc.;
- Act as a first point of contact for employees;
- Expense management of employees.
Experience - the ideal candidate will have
- Bachelor degree;
- Between two and four years’ experience (approximately) in Human Resources and understand the operational aspects of all HR processes;
- Good knowledge of the Belgian social legislation and Belgian payroll aspects;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Flemish (Spanish would be a plus);
- Proactive, a self-starter and can work independently;
- Positive thinking is essential;
- Assertive and empathetic;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Able to work in a team environment and perform duties with accuracy, quality, confidentiality, and integrity.
