Human Resource Manager Position Overview: The Human Resource Manager will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
Responsibilities:- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
- Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Administers a performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
- Responds promptly to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Investigates employee accidents with Safety Officer and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
- Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Performs other related work as required or requested.

Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience
- and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare recruiting experience is required.
- At least five years of human resource management experience required.
- PHR or SPHR highly preferred.
