HR Department:The Human Resources department serves a critical link between the company's strategic people programs and business operations. The HR team partners with all managers and employees in the company to provide solutions and resources for a productive and engaging environment. Additionally, HR designs health and wellness programs, job development tools, and corporate events to create an enriching employee experience.
Purpose:The Human Resource Business Partner is integral to the achievement of corporate metrics by helping managers and employees meet their operational goals. Through collaboration with team members, both at the individual contributor and leadership levels, the HRBP will translate business needs into actionable, strategic people programs that drive engagement and enhance our employee experience.
The HRBP uses corporate and team metrics to drive strategic initiatives and identify areas of improvement. The HRBP will coordinate necessary programs for each department based on metrics and need, such as improving the employee onboarding experience. As well, the HRBP will oversee the administration of the performance management program for each division, address employee relation and employment law matters, conduct exit interviews, and assist with HR team projects as needed.
Areas of Accountability:The HRBP has responsibility for the following outcomes:
- Engaged Workforce: An engaged workforce is critical to company success. The HRBP is integral to ensuring our people initiatives are meeting the needs of our employees and the business.
- Employee Retention: HR programs that address people's needs for wellness, career development, and a sense of purpose are more likely to stay with a company. This position will work closely with managers and leaders to ensure we offer well-rounded programs that boost retention and excite our employees about long term career growth with IPS. Tools include analysis of employee surveys, exit and stay interviews, and benefits feedback.
- Employee Relations: The HRBP helps employees and teams balance fun with productivity. At times, this may require coaching managers and individual contributors on effective communications, interpersonal dynamics, or policy adherence. As well, this could include conducting HR investigations into employee concerns.
- Performance Management: Goal-setting, metrics, and regular manager check-ins are critical to a company's success and an employee's growth. The HRBP ensures the performance management system is running smoothly across departments and is effectively implemented by each manager.
- Employment Law: The HRBP, in partnership with legal counsel and the SVP of Human Resources, will guide managers to address local, state, and federal regulations appropriately, such as OT pay, California Meal Breaks, and FLSA classifications.
Competencies for Success- BA/BS in HR management or Business Administration
- 5+ years human resources experience with a minimum of 3 years in a HRBP role
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, and policies
- Experience coaching employees and managers, mediating discussions, and creating performance driven culture
- Comfortable analyzing human capital metrics to identify trends and recommend strategic programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
- Demonstrated sound judgement and ability to apply depth of knowledge in solving complex business challenges
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
At Integrated Practice Solutions, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $49,450-$110,000 for this position.
