Qualifications: Bachelor's in Human Resources is preferred. Experience may be substituted for formal education. PHR or SHRM certificate is an asset. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent remote and local customer service skills, be well organized, prioritize and capable of handling a busy workload with multiple tasks. Competent skills in Microsoft Office are required. Experience with an HRIS systems required.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the HR Generalist will support all divisions (Service, Equipment, Nuclear, Lift Trucks, Sales and Ports) within the Company. As an HR Generalist you will provide support and guidance on the daily operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR Services. You will actively participate in various HR activities, projects, programs, cycles, and processes.
Job responsibilities
- Provide general human resources services to the respective businesses area managers and employee population across the United States by answering HR related inquiries.
- Ensure the uniform and consistent application of company policies, and administering effective human relations programs that support the company's corporate objectives
- Participate in various Human Resources processes and initiatives including new employee onboarding, policy development, performance management, employee development, employee relations, reporting and metrics, leaves of absence, workers compensation and more
- Coordination and maintenance of employee data and files, to include updates to the HR and Payroll systems.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Administer leave of absences in partnership with the third-party administration
- Various other duties and special projects as assigned
